Ceramic Pebble Stack Workshop

This workshop will give you the opportunity to make 5 ceramic pebbles for your garden. (Should you be a speedy worker then you might find you have time to make more than 5)
The pebbles will attach by stacking on to a metal rod that can then be positioned in your garden adding a beautiful, year round, unique feature.

During the first part of the workshop I will demonstrate in stages, how to make a pebble, so that we can work together through the various processes.

When your first pebble has been constructed you will be able to decorate it by choosing from a selection of decorative techniques that I will demonstrate.

After completing your first pebble you will be able to continue to make additional pebbles of varying sizes for your stack.
After the workshop, your pebbles will be bisque fired to 950°C, I will then either apply oxide wash to your pebbles and fire again or if, painted with slips, simply fire again, to 1200°C. 

Finished pebbles can be collected in approximately 3 to 6 weeks (depending on weather/drying conditions).

Metal rods are provided for each pebble stack as part of this workshop.

The workshop will run from 10am – 4pm with a half hour stop for lunch at 12:30.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring your own lunch.
