Ceramic Houses Workshop

This workshop will give you the opportunity to make a set of ceramic houses.

I will demonstrate in stages, how to make a house, so that we can work together through the various processes.
You will be able to choose from a selection of clays; stone ware, porcelain and crank. 

When your houses have been constructed you will be able to decorate them using a wide range of underglaze colours, coloured slips and oxides. 

After the workshop, your houses will be bisque fired to 950°C, then high fired (with a transparent glaze, if you would prefer a glossy finish) to 1200°C. 

Finished houses can be collected in approximately 3 to 6 weeks (depending on weather/drying conditions) or posted for a P&P cost of £10. 

The workshop will run from 10am – 4pm with a half hour stop for lunch at 12:30.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring your own lunch.
